The Bulldogs were up 3-0 early in the second before allowing Sault Ste. Marie to score three unanswered goals. Taylor Raddysh scored the equalizer at 5:53 of the third.
Kaden Fulcher made 28 saves for the Bulldogs. Matthew Villalta stopped 26 shots for the Greyhounds.
Game 2 of the series is tomorrow night in the Soo. The series switches to Hamilton on Monday.
