A Stratford man has been nominated as the Ontario Liberal Party candidate for the Perth-Wellington riding.
Brendan Knight works for Canada Post and spends time volunteering for local environmental organizations, including the Avon River Environmental Awareness and the Civic Beautification and Environmental Awareness Committee.
Knight was born and raised in Sebringville and now lives in Stratford with his wife and two children.
"I have two young children, aged 2 and 4, and I want to leave them an Ontario that is cleaner and more sustainable," said Knight. "As MPP for Perth-Wellington, I’ll protect every family’s access to health care, and I’ll do so in a way that will keep Ontario on the path to a greener future for our kids."
He's running against Perth-Wellington Progressive Conservative incumbent Randy Pettapiece, NDP candidate Michael O’Brien, Green Party candidate Lisa Olsen, and Libertarian Party candidate Scott Marshall.
