Police say a vehicle went into the ditch on Wellington Rd. 8 on Monday at around 1:30pm.
Police, the Mapleton Fire-Rescue and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service responded to the scene.
The lone female occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wellington County Rd. 8 between Side Rd. 12 and 15 will remain closed while officers conduct an investigation. The reopened time is unknown and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
