28-Year-Old Lucknow Man Dies In Industrial Accident

An industrial accident has taken the life of a 28-year-old Lucknow man.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2018, at approximately 4pm officers from the Huron County and Perth County Ontario Provincial Police Detachments and Perth County Paramedic Services responded to an industrial accident that occurred at a business located on Amberley Rd. east of Molesworth.

Upon arrival officers and paramedics located an unresponsive male victim. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Nash Aitchison from Lucknow.

The preliminary investigation has revealed workers had been using an excavator to install pillars around a well. While installing the last pillar, the pillar slipped out of the sling and struck the male causing fatal injuries.

The Ministry of Labour was contacted to assist with this investigation.
