Provincial Police say there is no public safety concern, even though there was a large police presence in a Meaford neighbourhood yesterday.
Members of the Emergency Response Team and OPP Community Street Crime Unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Eliza Street in Meaford.
It's near Georgian Bay Secondary School. Police have charged 4 people, 37-year-old Jennifer Wagner, 29-year-old Andrew McQuarrie of Meaford, 33-year-old Michael Smith of Meaford, and a young offender with drug related offences. The combined estimated value of the seized substances is $1120.00, and Canadian currency and drug related paraphernalia was also seized.
