Morris Turnberry Purchases New Industrial Land

Morris Turnberry Council has purchased a 13.9-acre parcel of industrial land in Lower Town. The municipality plans to create lots for industrial development, and create an access road.

The land was purchased from Joy Harrett and James, Jeffery and Jennifer Dennis.

The land is zoned village industrial and will be serviced this year from Arthur street. Mayor Paul Gowing said, "The purchase of the Harrett Property by Morris-Turnberry will greatly help the expansion of many of our local businesses as well as encourage new start-up and relocating businesses to develop in our Municipality. Ownership of this property will allow the Municipality to see it developed in a way to maximize it's benefit to our Business Community as well as our residents."
