Tractors Moved From Goderich Mine Entrance

The barricades have been pulled away from the salt mine in Goderich.

The decision was made to remove the barricade, which was first set up last week, after Compass Minerals' lawyers met with a judge privately in Goderich on Monday to apply for an injunction against the new barricade.

National Unifor Representative Glen Sonnier maintains striking miners still have no plan to let replacement workers in.

Last week, the Ontario Supreme Court issued an order requiring workers to remove the blockade by 4:30pm Saturday, but over ten tractors were soon on the scene to resume blocking the mine entrance.

340 unionized workers have been on strike since April 27.
