Eight Beaches Closed In Huron County

Eight Lake Huron public beaches are under a no-swim advisory heading into another hot and sunny weekend.

Those beaches are Ashfield Township Park, Goderich Main, St. Christopher's & Rotary Cove, St. Joseph, Hay Township Park & Port Blake.

The water at those beaches has tested for high levels of bacteria, and have decided they are unsafe for swimming.

No Beaches have been posted in Bruce and Grey, but testing hasn't been done since last weekend.     Grey Bruce Public Health says if there has been a heavy rain, you should wait 24 to 48 hours before swimming.   If you can't see your feet when you are standing in waist deep water, that cloudy water could be contaminated with bacteria.
