The number of students at the REACH Centre in Clinton has increased significantly over last year.
Equine Student Services Coordinator Samantha Tapper explains they had 25 students last year in their two-year diploma program, and they are up to 36 currently.
There are 13 registered in the one-year certificate program, which gives them 15 more than last year for a total of 50 students.
She says the majority of students live in Clinton and some of the students with cars might live closer to Bayfield or Seaforth, but they all make a significant contribution to the economy of the area.
"They do look for stuff to do outside of their classes, so there's that kind of entertainment factor and then obviously with shopping, they'll be doing groceries, going out for lunch, going out for dinner," says Tapper. "Purchasing clothes or school supplies, so definitely an economic benefit. "
