Victims Identified In Fatal Collision Near Clinton

Huron County OPP identified the victim of a fatal collision near Clinton.

Police say 22-year-old Jonathan Wain of Central Huron was killed when the vehicle he was driving, and a minivan, collided just after 2pm on Tuesday.

Police say a car crossed over the centre line into the eastbound lane on Hwy. 8 at Front Rd.

The collision remains under investigation by members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment and West Region OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) Team.

Both occupants of the mini-van were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated from their heavily damaged vehicle.

The driver of the minivan, 67-year-old Nancy Phillips and her passenger 68-year-old John Phillips both from Clinton remain in hospital in good condition.
