Unionized employees of the Grand River Conservation Authority have a new four year contract.
The conservation authority board and OPSEU Local 259 have voted to ratify a collective agreement. It covers 110 Grand River Conservation Authority employees.
Over the four year contract, OPSEU members will receive wage increases of 1.75% in 2018 and 1.5% per year in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The agreement also provides market adjustments to specific job grades over the four-year span.
"We value the work and dedication of our employees and are pleased that we were able to reach an agreement without any disruption to our operation," said Helen Jowett, GRCA board chair. "We want to thank the bargaining team for working toward a fiscally responsible resolution that provides fair, equitable and competitive compensation to our employees."
