Good news for motorists in the Saugeen Shores area.
A bridge on the east side of Port Elgin will reopen to traffic this evening.
The County of Bruce rehabilitation work on Mill Creek Bridge located on Bruce Road 17 included replacement of the super-structure of the bridge, and the additions of a sidewalk and improved lighting.
The opening of the bridge is scheduled for 6 p.m. September 14, 2018.
Bruce County deemed the project as critical work to improve public safety.
