Police have identified a 77-year-old pedestrian who died after he was struck crossing Highway 8 in Perth East.
Andrey Ginovker of Stratford was struck by an eastbound sedan just east of Stratford at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
Perth County OPP, fire and paramedic services attended the scene.
Ginovker was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The male was then transported to a trauma centre where he was pronounced dead.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
