Grey County is hosting a regional forum to look at supporting newcomers who can help grow the local economy.
The employer-focused event is taking place at the Village Conference Centre in the town of Blue Mountains all day Friday.
Grey County's New to Grey Initiative was launched to address a labour shortage in the region.
The event looks at how employers having difficulties recruiting skilled workers can fill the gap by bringing in people from other parts of Canada, or other countries.
Outreach Coordinator Jacinda Rudolph said with the lowest unemployment rate in the province, employers need to learn strategies to attract and retain workers to the region.
Keynote speaker Lionel Laroche will share strategies to help employers turn the challenges often associated with cultural differences into a source of creativity and innovation.
Also, on Thursday, Grey County will host a session on attainable housing and how to grow communities at the Village Conference Centre.
