The annual Saugeen Shores Police Service Food Drive is being called an overwhelming success.
This year food donations were collected at Rowlands Your Independent Grocery on Saturday in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Frontline officers and police auxiliary members took in over 1,606 pounds of food, over 2,704 in cash, and nearly $300 in gift cards.
“The citizens of Saugeen Shores never disappoint and consistently step up to help those in need,” said Inspector Kevin Zettel.
