Update:
Just before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the North Huron Fire Department, Huron County Paramedic Services and officers from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police Detachment and Wingham Police Service responded to a house fire on Josephine St. North, just outside of Wingham.
A single dwelling home was fully engulfed by fire. Fire crews entered the home and recovered the body of one man.
The deceased has been identified as Steven Christie, 55, from Morris-Turnberry.
Mutual aid from South Bruce was also called in to help transport water to the scene.
Members from the Huron OPP Crime Unit along with officers from the Mount Forest OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit continue to investigate with the assistance of the Coroner's Office and the Office of the Fire Marshal.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place Thursday.
