A recovery team spent most of Sunday trying to locate a submerged SUV in the Saugeen River at Ayton.
Police received a report late Saturday afternoon about a vehicle speeding along Victoria Street in Ayton.
When officers investigated, they learned the SUV had driven into the river.
The body of one man was pulled from the water several hours later. His name has not been released.
Sunday, the recovery of the vehicle began, and included West Grey Police, the Hanover Water Rescue Team, an OPP Dive Team and helicopter.
The search for the SUV was called off Sunday afternoon because of the murky water. It's expected to resume Monday morning.
