The OPP closed the road, south of Highway 8, around 7:00 p.m. Sunday to allow fire crews quicker access to the site.
Firefighters from West Perth were on the scene initially, and called for assistance from stations in Seaforth, Monkton and Sebringville.
The OPP re-opened Road 170 just before 5:00 a.m. Monday.
There's no word yet on the extent of damage from that fire near Mitchell.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
