GOJHL: Cyclones use the man advantage to win

Listowel 5 Elmira 4

Chayse Herrfort scored the game winner on the power play less than nine minutes into the third and Listowel edged Elmira 5-4. He led the Cyclones with a pair of goals and an assist.

The Cyclones were up 4-2 heading into the final frame when Elmira's Jakson Kirk and Hunter Dubecki scored less than two minutes apart. Kirk's goal was on the power play and Dubecki's was short handed and unassisted.

The Sugar Kings were 2-5 with the man advantage and the Cyclones also took advantage of their power play opportunities going 4-8.

Stratford 6 Waterloo 3

Sean Ross and Nathan Smilsky each struck twice and set up another as Stratford doubled Waterloo 6-3.

Ryan Cullen had a goal and an assist in the win including the eventual game winner six minutes into the third.

The Siskins were left by Owen Lane with a goal and an assist.
