You might want to think twice about warming up your vehicle and leaving it unattended during this cold snap.
Friday morning, Huron County OPP responded to a Kippen Road residence after the owner reported his pickup truck had been stolen from his laneway. The owner was warming up his pickup in the driveway, and when he returned, it had been stolen.
It's described as a 2015 dark grey Chevrolet Silverado, crew cab, with chrome running boards and a black front grill.
Meanwhile, Grey County OPP received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Sideroad 41 in the Township of Southgate.
On Saturday afternoon, a man left his vehicle running and unlocked in the driveway. When he returned a few minutes later he saw his vehicle leaving the area, followed by another vehicle. The stolen vehicle was recovered in Wellington North Township later the same day.
Police recommend you never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running, and never leave valuable objects or packages in full view.
