The chair of the 2017 International Plowing Match near Walton handed out a few cheques at Friday night's Huron Hospice Robbie Burns night in Brussels.
Jacquie Bishop announced a special donation of $20,000 to the Huron Residential Hospice, and the creation of a legacy fund that will go on for 25 years to help support young people pursuing post-secondary education.
Bishop said they'll be giving money to three other non-profit organizations and that announcement will be made in the very near future.
In 2018, the Huron County IPM committee handed out over $100,000 to 55 non-profit organizations.
Their chairs were each given two-thousand dollars to give back to the charities of their choice. They also gave forty-thousand back to service clubs for their help at the gates and the tented city and in the lounge.
About 120 people braved the stormy weather to attend Friday night's Huron Hospice Robbie Burns Night at the Four Winds Barn in Brussels.
