Huron County OPP made a significant drug seizure in Central Huron.
On Tuesday, January 29, members from the OPP, Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on Whys Line in Central Huron.
As a result, police seized methamphetamine, 186 cannabis plants and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The combined value of everything seized is approximately $8,640. Police also seized a prohibited weapon, three firearms, ammunition, a prohibited ammo magazine and recovered two stolen snowmobiles.
Gary Elliott, 49, of Central Huron has been charged with possession of Methamphetamine, cultivating more than four cannabis plants, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a prohibited device and possession of firearms, ammunition and explosive while under a prohibition order.
He has been released and has a scheduled court appearance on March 11 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
