Owen Sound police have made an arrest in connection to a stolen item posted on Kijiji.
Police officers arrested a 35-year-old Owen Sound man on Thursday after it was discovered that a watch that was recently stolen from a local business had been put up for sale on Kijiji.
Officers were able to identify the man through video surveillance as well as by investigating his online activity. Police conducted surveillance and then arrested the accused, and recovered the stolen watch, as well as a small quantity of crystal meth.
At the time of his arrest, the man was on a recognizance of bail pertaining to previous criminal charges that are still before the courts. He is also bound by a probation order resulting from previous convictions for similar offences. He now faces theft and drug charges.
