Residents looking for an alternative way of getting to Toronto will have another option available to them by May.
Georgian Bluffs council is finalizing an agreement with FlyGTA Airlines to run passenger service four days a week between Billy Bishop Airport in downtown Toronto and the Wiarton Keppel International Airport.
At Georgian Bluffs' recent council meeting, Mayor Dwight Burley noted the service will begin with a daily return flight on a nine-passenger plane on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Georgian Bluffs began exploring scheduled flight service after a survey last year indicated the majority of residents were extremely-or-very-likely to use the airport for this purpose.
