Municipalities in Midwestern Ontario will receive a portion of new funds announced on Wednesday by Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark.
Clark said he wants smaller, rural municipalities to use the funds to examine how they can be more effective and efficient, hoping "this one-time investment in these municipalities will spur on discussion about local service delivery, modernization of IT, and contain expenditure growth in their communities."
Clark made the announcement at a town hall in Innisfil.
