The Blyth Festival Art Gallery has unveiled its 2019 schedule.
Volunteer Robert Tetu said the art gallery started in a room in the basement of the Blyth Memorial Hall by a group of volunteers 44 years ago. In the mid-80s, the Bainton Family offered to pay for a new art gallery, beside the Memorial Hall, which is now part of the main building.
They have five exhibitions this year. The annual Student Show, for art students in high schools in Huron and Perth counties, opens on May 4.
Tetu said that's followed by the Community Show in which anyone in the Huron Perth community is invited to bring their work into the gallery and it will be hung on the wall.
A complete schedule of the five exhibitions can be found on the Blyth Festival website.
