Fatality early Monday in Shallow Lake

One person died early Monday morning in a car-pedestrian collision in Shallow Lake.

The incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Highway 6 in Shallow Lake.

A pedestrian was transported to hospital with vital signs absent, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.   The pedestrian has been identified as 54-year-old Mary-Joseph Hill of Shallow Lake.    The driver of the car was also transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

Highway 6 was closed all night between Stoneman Drive at the north and Grey Road 170 at the south in Shallow Lake.   It re-opened just before 6:00 a.m.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting Grey Bruce OPP with the investigation.
