Plans are being finalized for a community forum on education next week in Southampton.
It's being presented by the Bluewater Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation. The main focus of the discussion will be the many changes to the education system, and how they will affect rural students and schools.
One of the invited panellists is Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson. Other guests include representatives of Saugeen First Nation, the Canadian Mental Health Association, an e-learning researcher, and local teachers and support staff.
The Community Forum is next Tuesday, May 28 at the Bruce County Museum in Southampton, starting at 7 p.m.
