Storm improve to 2-1 at Memorial Cup

Nick Suzuki struck twice and set up another and Guelph topped Prince Albert 5-2 at the Memorial Cup. The Storm are now 2-1 at the tournament while the Raiders have lost all three games they've played.

Fedor Gordeev opened the scoring midway through the first for Guelph. Sean Montgomery answered for Prince Albert less than two minutes later. Isaac Ratcliffe gave the Storm the lead again at 15:18 of the opening frame. Dante Hannoun tied it up with less than a minute left heading into the second.

Liam Hawel's power play goal just 1:21 into the second would stand as the game winner. Suzuki added insurance about three-and-a-half minutes later and found the twine again at 6:42.

Anthony Popovich stopped 19 shots for Guelph. Ian Scott made 20 saves for the Raiders.
