Huron County's Economic Development Department is hosting a series of workshops for people considering starting their own business.
Entrepreneur and Business Coach Jeff Kish said about 25 people have already registered for the first workshop. Kish said the first workshop will be held at the Faux Pop Station in Goderich, starting at 6 p.m. on June 27. Following workshops will be held at different locations.
He said the first meeting will be an interactive workshop.
“It's gonna be an interactive workshop with a lot of questions and answers and it's really an opportunity to connect with the community of people who have thought about, maybe getting into business, but not really sure what the first steps should be to get their business up and running," he said.
Following the initial workshop, Kish said they'll have one a month for the next eleven months that will follow up on the idea of starting a business.
“That will take this idea of starting a business, growing a business, expanding business, tax law, marketing, sale, HR and then all the way to the end of how to actually sell your business and get out of it at a later time," he said.
Kish said more information about the workshops can be found on the Huron County Facebook page and will also be available on the county website shortly.
