New playground equipment a big hit at Clinton Raceway

Youth in Clinton have been enjoying a new addition to the Clinton Raceway.

Central Huron Mayor, Jim Ginn, says one of the reasons this year's Mayor's Mingle was held at the Clinton Raceway was that it provided an opportunity to showcase the new playground equipment behind the grandstand.

Ginn says the playground equipment was put in by Clinton Raceway and has already become very popular. The equipment includes a huge slide, swings, a splash pad and a skate park.

Ginn says every time he goes there he sees some one using the equipment and there's often twenty people at the skate park.

“Definitely being used. Every time you go down there you see, not huge numbers, but I don't think I've been there there hasn't been at least six people running around in the playground and a lot of times it's twenty at the skate park. You can actually get twenty or thirty on it.”
