West Grey Police find purple fentanyl in Durham

West Grey Police say they have found purple fentanyl in the town of Durham.

Officers attended a residence on Elgin Street South in Durham on Tuesday to conduct a compliance check.

Police spoke to the accused male's surety, who advised officers he was not home. Officers patrolled the area eventually arrested the man.

Following the arrest, officers say the accused was searched and 0.5 grams of purple fentanyl was found to be in his possession.

The street value of the quantity is approximately $250.

A 29-year-old Durham man has been charged one count of being in possession of a schedule one substance. He had a bail hearing scheduled for sometime Wednesday in Walkerton.
