A new webinar series from Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation is designed to help coast watcher volunteers learn more about the lake.
Wednesday night's webinar dealt with plastic pollution and Erinn Lawrie, the executive director of the centre, said future webinars will deal with a variety of subjects.
"We'll be talking about Coastal Processes. The next one will be about Invasive Species, so people can learn about the different types of invasive species along the shore. The fourth one is on Species at Risk and teaching people how to identify some of the really rare and unique species we have along the shoreline," said Lawrie.
The hour-long webinars are free and are open to the public.
More information about the series and how people can register can be found on the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation website.
