Two people air lifted to hospital after separate crashes in Saugeen Shores

One person had to be airlifted to a London hospital after his vehicle was found on its roof on Bruce County Road 17 between Port Elgin and Burgoyne.

Police said the vehicle had gone off the road on Monday, slid down an embankment and landed on its roof.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

He was conscious but suffered severe injuries to his lower extremities.

One man had to be airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Southampton.

Friday's crash happened just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of North Rankin Street and Turner Street and involved a pick-up truck and another vehicle.

The male driver of the up truck suffered internal injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

The other driver was treated and released from Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
