Brockton is tackling the issue of drainage at the Bruce Power Regional Soccer fields.
Interim Director of Parks and Recrecation Mike Murphy says originally the fields did not take drainage into consideration.
"When the original fields were designed, they were designed without drainage and we've had some issues with that, so council approved completing two fields with drainage this year, which has improved the fields, and two fields now will go to a request for funding proposal which will be completed next year."
Murphy says council is committed to fixing the situation.
"The approximate cost to do them this year was $75,000, and we expect the cost to be similar to that next year."
