Police have made an arrest in connection with a fire near Walkerton.
South Bruce OPP officers responded to reports of a structure fire alongside the Walkerton Fire Department on October 2nd. The building, located along Bruce County Road 2 in Brant Township, was completely engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
A 23-year-old Brockton native was found on the property and arrested. The accused is charged with arson, 2 counts of theft under $5,000 and 2 counts of break and enter. A court date is yet to be determined, and police are not releasing the name of the accused at this time.
