Truck driver dies after colliding with industrial building

One person is dead after a commercial truck crashed into an industrial building in Exeter.

Huron County OPP officers responded to a call at 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon at Northlander Industries, located on Thames Road East, after reports that a large truck crashed into the side of the business.

The male driver was transported to local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

One other person was taken to hospital as a result of the collision with unknown injuries.

The OPP will be conducting an investigation alongside the Ministry of Labour and the Chief Coroner's Office.
