Perth County Roads range from snow-covered with icy sections to track bare. Motorists could also experience slushy sections, heavy drifting and reduced visibility at times
Wellington County is also experiencing heavy snow and reduced visibility. It has also been announced that school buses in North Wellington are not running this afternoon due to weather. Students who ride the bus to school will remain at their school, and parents should contact their schools for more information. Centre Peel Public School and Kenilworth Public School are listed as closed, but all other schools remain open.
Minto Fire reports on Twitter that Wellington Road 7 between Alma and Teviotdale is closed.
A collision on Wellington Road 7 between Wellington Road 17 and Wellington Road 109 near Drayton knocked out a hydro pole.
Police said a transport truck was involved and that stretch of road was closed and has since re-opened just after 6 pm. Visibility was described as poor in the area.
Hydro One says the resulting outage is affecting 122 customers and they expect to have the lines and pole repaired by 7 pm.
Give yourself extra time if you're travelling and watch for changing road conditions.
