An early morning alert that was broadcast across Ontario radio stations, including CKNX, had to do with the Pickering Nuclear Generating station.
The alert was also sent over text and email as a Province of Ontario emergency bulletin just before 7:30 a.m.
The alert mentioned an incident at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and went on to note that no abnormal release of radioactivity was released.
Ontario Power Generation has since noted that the alert was sent out by mistake.

CNSC has been informed that Pickering is safe and that the alert was issued by mistake. The CNSC is in touch with the Province Emergency Operations Centre and @opg to issue a correction.
