Ripley Wolves clinch first place in WOAA Senior Hockey folllowing extremely close regular season

The tight situation atop the WOAA Senior Hockey standings became much more clear following Saturday night's games.

In perhaps the closest finish at the top of the standings in the league's history, the Ripley Wolves have come away with the regular season championship, finishing with 38 points.

Rounding out the top five, in order, are Shelburne (34 PTS), Clinton (32 PTS), Seaforth (32 PTS) and Saugeen Shores (32 PTS).

The bottom final three playoff spots, as it stands currently, are occupied by Tillsonburg (28 PTS), Durham (25 PTS) and Minto (25 PTS).

One game remains in the regular season, that being Minto taking on Lucknow this evening. Minto can avoid taking on the Wolves in the first round of the "AA" Playoffs with a victory today over Lucknow.
