Despite a wild day for winter weather on Thursday, the brunt of this storm is only now passing over Midwestern Ontario.
There are multiple road closures this morning with a full list by clicking here. And even though some roads may not be listed as closed, OPP and county officials are urging motorists not to travel.
Many counties and municipalities have declared a significant weather event.
Snowfall amounts of 10-20 centimetres on Thursday will be followed up by as much as another 25 centimetres on Friday in some areas.
A blizzard warning continues in Southern Grey and Southern Bruce, while a snow squall warning is in effect for all of Midwestern Ontario.
Lake effect squalls will continue Friday, weakening near sunrise before becoming organized again in the afternoon.
Whiteout conditions should be expected.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.
This weather event is expected to last until Saturday afternoon.
