Huron OPP seeking applicants for auxiliary unit

The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary Unit is seeking volunteers.

In a release, police said the unit has seen several past members leave to become full-time regular members of the OPP, so there are immediate vacancies that need to be filled.

Auxiliary members must be able to commit up to 10 hours of patrol per month, plus an additional six hours of training.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen, and have a valid Class "G" driver's license, with no more than six demerit points, a Secondary School Diploma and no criminal record.
