The Municipality of Bluewater has closed its landfill at the Varna Complex in order to protect its staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Paul Klopp said the municipality does not have the ability to collect garbage bags along the streets in the villages.
"We have asked staff to look at making a spot available, not at the dump, but outside the dump at the Varna Complex," said Klopp.
Klopp is also asking people, wherever it's possible, to keep their leaves and twigs for now.
"When this is over we'll do something with them or you can get them out to the landfill," added Klopp.
