Bluewater Summer Playhouse cancels season

The Bluewater Summer Playhouse has made the difficult decision to cancel its 2020 summer season due to concerns over the COVID-19 crisis.

In a release on April 20, the organizing committee made it public that the season would not be able to go forward based on recommendations from local government officials and public health authorities.

The committee said the Bluewater Summer Playhouse group is aware that the priority right now has to be the health and safety of staff, artists, volunteers and patrons.

The committee added that the public can visit the website www.bluewatersummerplayhouse.com or visit the Bluewater Summer Playhouse Facebook page for more details.

The group also states their focus remains on supporting local businesses, restaurants and front line workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and is hopeful they can return next year and run their programs normally.
