Members of the Blue Bayfield group are organizing a rally for Thursday afternoon to recognize some of the people who keep local stores open.
"Why don't we all meet in the parking lot in front of Foodland and not get out of our cars, but just honk our horns for a couple of minutes to acknowledge what the staff at Foodland and the staff at the LCBO have done for us over the course of the last six weeks," said organizer Ray Letheran.
"They're the people who have kept us in food, kept us in wine and then people like Michael at the Pharmacy and his staff and Donnie's Garage and Sang and Joy at Bayfield Convenience Store that have stayed there for us," added Letheran.
The rally will take place in the Bayfield Foodland Parking lot at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon and again, people are being asked to remain in their vehicles and just honk their horn for a couple of minutes to show their appreciation.
