The Ontario Provincial Police has charged one of its own following a two-month investigation involving sexual assault.
Sergeant Mike Dolderman, a 21-year veteran of the Wellington County OPP, has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and five counts of breach of trust.
He has been suspended from duty.
While details about the incident or incidents that resulted in criminal charges have not been released, police said Brenda Dolderman, 53, has also been charged with three counts of obstructing justice in connection to the case. The relationship between this woman and the officer has not been disclosed by police.
The pair will both appear in court in Guelph on July 28.
