South Bruce OPP have seized a large quantity of drugs and other items following the issue of a search warrant in Ripley.
On May 7, officers from the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and South Bruce OPP executed a search warrant at a property along James Street in Ripley.
As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, ketamine, oxycodone, psilocybin, benzodiazepine, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), dextroamphetamine, synthetic cathinones (bath salts), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), cannabis marijuana, cannabis shatter and cannabis edibles. The estimated street value of the seized substances is just over $73,000.
Police also seized a quantity of Canadian currency, digital scales, cell phones, debt lists, packaging material, a Savage Model 65 non-restricted rifle and a stolen Ruger Blackhawk 357 handgun. As a result, 20-year-old Huron-Kinloss resident Keegan Russell is facing numerous drug and weapon charges. The accused is scheduled to make a court appearance on August 5th to answer to the charges.
