Huron Shores Transit Committee looking at routes

The Huron Shores Transit Committee met virtually on Wednesday to firm up details and outline routes for transportation in an area that will serve Lambton Shores, North Middlesex and parts of Perth and Huron counties.

Co-Chair Glen Baillie says they have now identified the routes as twice a day from a few locations.

"We've got two a day from London into Grand Bend, two a day from Sarnia into Grand Bend, with twice a week at this point in Bluewater and Exeter," said Baillie.

Ballie adds the service will be flexible so that routes and schedules can be adjusted to meeting demand. He says the Transit Steering Committee will develop the system.

"And we're going to go as a not for profit, that's going to be the Transit Steering Committee, that's going to develop a system for adding and subtracting and working and marketing,' said Baillie.

The committee is currently waiting to get their licence from the Province but they hope to be up and running sometime in July.
