Police charge Goderich resident following domestic assault investigation

A 57-year-old Goderich resident has been charged following a domestic assault investigation.

On May 28, officers conducted a domestic violence investigation after receiving a call from the victim. The investigation revealed that the accused had committed several acts of domestic violence over a period of 16 years.

The accused was taken into custody without incident on May 29.

The 57-year-old accused resident of Goderich has been charged with four counts of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and mischief under $5,000. He has since been released from custody with a future court date.
