19-year-old charged following theft of payloader

One person is in police custody after a payloader was stolen from an address in Brant Township.

The South Bruce OPP was notified late Friday morning about the missing payloader and later found it in Carrick Township, being driven in an “erratic manner”.

The following investigation led to several charges for a 19-year-old man, including dangerous operation, operation while prohibited, assaulting a peace officer, mischief over $5,000, and theft over $5,000.

He is currently in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
